MSU Softball home opener moved to 2 p.m.

 The start time for Monday's opener for the Midwestern State University softball team at the Sunrise Optimist Complex has been changed to 2 p.m.

The Mustangs (8-3) will face Oklahoma Panhandle State University (0-9) in a doubleheader on Field 2.

MSU is paced at the plate by sophomore third baseman Kristen Stonecipher's .378 batting average.

Stonecipher is tied with junior center fielder Chantelle Lee and senior second baseman Sarah Huddleston for team-high honors in home runs with two.

Senior Brittany Willson brings a 6-1 record and a 1.22 earned run average into Monday's contest, while sophomore Ashley Kuchenski is 2-2 with a 2.75 ERA.

MSU plays host to West Texas A&M in a doubleheader on Tuesday. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m.
