Schreiber named LSC North Setter of the Week
WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Midwestern State University freshman Allison Schreiber was named the Lone Star Conference North Volleyball Setter of the Week for her performance in leading MSU to a 3-0 record last week.
The 5-10 freshman setter from Windthorst collected 132 assists in the three matches, averaging 12.0 assists per game. She posted 57 assists with 15 digs against Texas A&M-Commerce before adding 63 assists with 15 digs against Southeastern Oklahoma last weekend.
She finished the week with a total of 35 digs (2.18 per game), three blocks and five kills.
Joining Schreiber as volleyball players of the week for the LSC North are Kim Morgal of Central Oklahoma as the offensive player and Texas Woman's Trina Berend as the defensive player.
It's the second time this season that Schreiber has been named the setter of the week.
After Tuesday's final home match against Texas Woman's, MSU concludes the regular season with matches at Southwestern Oklahoma State on Thursday and at Texas-Permian Basin on Saturday.
