MSU Men grab first road victory 85-84 at Okla. Panhandle St.

85-84 Tuesday night at Oscar Williams Fieldhouse.

MSU (2-1) overcame a 7-0 OPSU run in the in a 2:40 stretch that saw the Aggies (0-3) grab a lead with 9.9 seconds to play on Nick Malinowski's fade-away, heavily guarded, banked-in three.

MSU got the ball up floor to the left baseline to Allen Houston who found

missed the free throw, and a desperation heave bounced off the back of the rim for OPSU.

Dawson
recorded his second consecutive double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Houston
led MSU with 18 points off the bench, while Chad Rickett also chipped in 15 points from the bench as did Russell Button with 11.

Malinowski led OPSU with 35 points and 13 rebounds, with Juan Carson adding 16 points and Kyle Smith 12.

Midwestern held a 12-point lead during the first half, only to take a 45-36 lead into intermission.

OPSU tied the game three times in the second half, but never had a lead in the final frame until the 9.9 second mark.

MSU shot 54 percent from the floor in the win, but struggled from the foul line in the second half. After shooting 13-of-14 before intermission, MSU made only 5-of-14 in the second half.

OPSU shot 40 percent from the floor, including 11-of-29 from the three-point arc.
