MSU ranked 11th in Southwest Region

WICHITA FALLS, Texas - The Midwestern State University football team is back among the top of the region.

MSU, now 5-4 overall after last Saturday's 62-27 shellacking of Eastern New Mexico, jumped into NCAA Division II Southwest Region rankings on Monday at number 11.

MSU struggled through key injuries early in the season that caused the Indians to drop four of the first six games, has roared back with three consecutive victories to get above the .500 mark.

MSU's strength of schedule also played a role.

The Indians close the regular season on Saturday afternoon when they face Abilene Christian in a 1 p.m. contest at Memorial Stadium.
