MSU blasts Eastern New Mexico 5-1

            PORTALES, N.M. - The Midwestern State University men's soccer team collected goals from five different players as they ripped Eastern New Mexico University 5-1 in Southwest Soccer Conference play on Friday.

            MSU (7-3-1, 5-1-1) led 1-0 at the half before collecting four second half goals to down the Greyhounds (3-10-1, 1-7-0).

            The MSU defense allowed ENMU just seven total shots, with goal keeper Sean Gill recording one save while allowing one goal.

            MSU pelted ENMU keeper Leif Craddock with 22 shots, scoring the five goals.  Craddock notched five saves, while the Hounds tallied three team saves as well.

            MSU got on the board in the 31st minute on an unassisted shot by Brandon Swartzendruber.

            Following the half, MSU collected a pair of goals in less than two minutes as Jimmy Krueger scored in the 60th minute, with Daniel Woolard knocking in a header just 1:46 later.

            Keegan Hudson added a penalty kick in the 69th minute, with Mark McGlinchey getting past the keeper for an empty net goal in the 80th minute.

            Midwestern, who swept both games against ENMU this year, now looks to avenge one of its three losses as the Indians play at West Texas A&M on Sunday.  Kickoff is at 1 p.m.
