Main named LSC North Offensive Player of the Week
WICHITA FALLS, Texas - For the third time this season, Midwestern State University junior Candice Main has been named the Lone Star Conference North Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.
Main, a 6-1 middle blocker from Fort Worth/Castleberry, earned the honor for her outstanding performance during the LSC Crossover Tournament last weekend in Denton.
In leading MSU to a 3-0 record at the tourney, Main hit .420 with 49 kills and just seven errors in 100 attacks. She averaged 4.45 kills and 1.00 blocks a game while adding two service aces and three assists on the week.
Joining Main as volleyball players of the week are Texas A&M-Commerce's Colleen Favaro as the defensive player and Southeastern Oklahoma's Megan Graham as setter.
After a Tuesday non-conference match at Dallas Baptist, MSU returns to LSC North action on the road. MSU goes to Cameron on Thursday for a 7 p.m. match, then visits Central Oklahoma on Saturday for a 2 p.m. affair.
