Weather cancels MSU-Fort Lewis game

            WICHITA FALLS, Texas - After playing a scoreless half, severe weather cancelled the Midwestern State University women's soccer game against Fort Lewis College (Colo.).

            Lightning ahead of a severe thunderstorm sent the teams to cover just two minutes before the second half was to begin.  The lightning caused a delay for an hour before the teams agreed to end the game.

            Under NCAA and Lone Star Conference rules, since the game did not reach 70 minutes of completion, the game is no contest.

            MSU will play Mesa State (Colo.) on Sunday, with kickoff set for 12 noon.
