MSU dips to 19th in National Poll
WICHITA FALLS, Texas - The Midwestern State University men's soccer team fell two places to 19th in the weekly National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas NCAA Division II Men's Poll released Tuesday.
The Indians stand 5-1-1 following Sunday's 2-2 double-overtime draw at Incarnate Word. Despite losing at Oklahoma City 1-0 last week, West Texas A&M remained 11th in the coaches poll.
Lynn (Fla.) remained number one in the poll as the only unbeaten and untied team among the top 25. Southern Illinois-Edwardsville is second, with Dowling (N.Y.) third, Cal State-Dominguez Hills fourth and Fort Lewis (Colo.) fifth.
In the coaches association's weekly regional rankings, Fort Lewis remained first, with MSU and WT tied for the number two spot. Colorado School of Mines and Metro State (Colo.) are tied for the fourth spot.
The MSU men play only once this week as they face Dallas Baptist in a 7 p.m. contest on Saturday. The following weekend MSU visits Durango, Colo., for matches against both Fort Lewis and Colorado Mines.
