The MSU College Bowl team placed fourth overall in the College Bowl Regional tourname

The MSU College Bowl team placed fourth overall in the College Bowl Regional tournament held Saturday, Feb. 21 at University of Houston. Sixteen schools participated in the competition. Ronald Bailey, a senior majoring in history, was the first-ranked player for scoring in toss-up questions answered. The region was split into two divisions, and MSU placed first in its division with a record of 6-1. The team later lost in double elimination to Baylor and University of Arkansas. The rankings in order were Baylor, Arkansas, LSU and MSU. The MSU team included Bailey as the top player in the tournament, Jason Dicksey, Susan Button, Brad Salois, and Britton Sauerbrei. The campus coordinator for the team is Dr. Mark Farris, MSU professor of math. 2/23/04
