Midwestern State University students won six awards at the annual Southwest Journalis

SWJC is an elite group of schools from four states, and is available only to those schools voted into membership. Award winners include Amber Ashley, Tracy Simons, Alan Alberry and Bobby Hall who took first place in television program and first place in television videography/editing. Mindy Lethcoe, Chad Smith, Tennille Massingale and Jessica Morris took second place honors in television videography/editing. "Campus Watch" earned third place in television newscast. Ya-Rei Chan took second place in newspaper feature photo, and Jason Palmer took first place honors in newspaper picture page. In addition, a hockey documentary produced in Senior Production class was a finalist for Best TV Feature at the Collegiate Broadcasters Inc. (CBI) awards announced the first week in November. The documentary was produced by Ashley Thomas, Kevin Barrett, Lacee Ernst and Erin Vicars. CBI received entries from hundreds of schools across the country. 11/17/03
