General
Midwestern State University's fall enrollment has set another new standard.
Official figures released September 17 set the mark at 6,480 students. This is a 3.9 percent increase over the same time period last year. Enrollment has been increasing each fall semester since 1999. The increase is mostly in the upper class divisions and in the number of graduate students. This is reflective of retention efforts which have been a focus of the university during the past few years. Total semester credit hours are shown at 71,617 which is up 3.5 percent over last fall's figures. Of the 6,480 students enrolled, 63 percent are full-time students, age 18-24. 9/18/03
