Students graduating with the highest grade point averages from each of the six colleges

The President's Medal of Excellence winners received their medals from President Jesse Rogers.

Three students graduated summa cum laude from the College of Business Administration. Karen Ellis graduated with a major in general business, Jeffrey Fleming graduated with a major in accounting, and Bobby Thomas graduated with a major in accounting and business computer information systems. Matthew McCauley, an interdisciplinary-math major from the Gordon T. and Ellen West College of Education, graduated magna cum laude.

Mindy Lethcoe, a mass communication major from the Lamar D. Fain College of Fine Arts, graduated summa cum laude.

Krista Rogers, a respiratory care major from the College of Health Sciences and Human Services, graduated summa cum laude.

Four students graduated summa cum laude from the College of Liberal Arts. Royce Paul Gray graduated with a major in history. Maria Ifcic, Alexis Stoddard and Stacey Ostrander graduated with majors in English.

Jennifer Berend, a biology major from the College of Science and Mathematics, graduated summa cum laude.
