Midwestern State University was presented a $20,000 check on Friday from the Greater

In January the Foundation announced the establishment of a new $1.36 million "Removing Education Barriers Scholarship" fund to help students at schools and universities throughout Texas. "We are pleased to be receiving this contribution. It will help many students pay for their education who may otherwise not be able to go to college, and that benefits all of us," stated Dr. Robert Clark, Midwestern State University vice president for academic services." Greater Texas Foundation (formerly the Greater Texas Student Loan Corporation) is a non-profit foundation which will provide scholarship funding through 2005 to 34 colleges and universities throughout the state. The first scholarships from this source will be available in fall 2003.
