Research projects by computer science and engineering students will be featured during the 22nd Annual North Texas Area Student Conference (NTASC) from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21, in Bolin Science Hall.

The NTASC provides a forum for graduate and undergraduate students in computer-related studies to present their projects, research efforts, or classroom experience to their peers and faculty. This year's conference features presentations of papers and projects by students from Cameron University, Texas Wesleyan University, as well as MSU Texas computer science and McCoy School of Engineering students.

Dr. Augustine Fou, an industry-recognized thought leader in digital strategy and integrated marketing, will be the keynote speaker. He is the former chief digital officer of Omnicom's Healthcare Consultancy Group, a $100 million agency serving pharmaceutical, medical device, and health-care clients. He has more than 20 years of management consulting experience, and hands-on experience in creating and optimizing marketing across traditional and digital channels. Fou teaches digital and integrated marketing at Rutgers University and New York University. He completed his Ph.D. at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in materials science and engineering at age 23. Today, Fou is an independent cyber security and ad fraud researcher, helping clients measure and reduce fraud to improve business outcomes from marketing.

The conference provides a forum in which students can share ideas and practice communication skills, and encourages association among universities in the North Texas-Southern Oklahoma area. It is a one-day event sponsored by the Department of Computer Science. Presentations will include individual or team projects, research efforts, and major classroom assignments.
