MSU Texas' Speakers & Issues Series will host a public forum to discuss the cultural significance of cosplay at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, in Akin Auditorium. The "I play, You play, We play, Cosplay" panel will include Dr. Andrea Button, assistant professor of sociology; Dr. Tiffany Ziegler, assistant professor of history; Kimberly Stevenson, Animania spokesperson and Cosplay manager; and two professional cosplay members discussing the art and fun of cosplay. The discussion will be moderated by Richard Carter.

The event will be family-friendly. Individuals desiring to wear cosplay are requested to not wear full-face headgear and to not bring costume weapons due to seating and safety issues.
