MSU to offer dual business degrees

Midwestern State University is coordinating efforts with Trier University of Applied Sciences in Birkenfeld, Germany to offer students the opportunity of earning dual degrees.

Beginning fall 2008, students can spend one year at MSU earning their MBA degree and one year in Germany earning an environmental economics and business management degree.

The same opportunity will be available for German students.

MSU Graduate Coordinator for the Dillard College of Business Administration, Dr. David Wierschem, believes the most important advantage of the program is exposure to  international business and the great asset that experience presents on a student's resume.

Students who attend the program in Germany will have contacts with businesses that work with the Birkenfeld campus. At the end of the academic year, students will have developed a network of friends, faculty members and business associates.

Since German universities don't charge tuition, the student's only expenses will be living expenses and travel. All classes taught on the German campus will be in English.

This international program will be added to the programs already established by MSU in London, Spain and France.
