No. 26 MSU downs North Central Texas 6-3

MSU TENNIS WOMEN DOWN NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS 6-3

 

            WICHITA FALLS, Texas - The Midwestern State University women's tennis team picked up a 6-3 victory over North Central Texas College Tuesday afternoon at the MSU Tennis Center.

            MSU (15-6), ranked 26th in NCAA Division II, dropped two of the three doubles games, before claiming all but one of the singles contests.

            Sophomore Faye d'Hamecourt led the way with wins at number three singles over Bertha Lee Perez 6-2, 6-1 and teamed with Brynne Chappell to beat Shanei Garcia and Erica Blakley at number two doubles 8-5.

            MSU got singles wins from Cilia Muller, Collean Kinser, Melissa dos Prazeres-Silva and Michelle Watson.

            The MSU women are in action again on Thursday when they host East Central in Lone Star Conference action at 3 p.m.
