Mustangs Add Two Players

WICHITA FALLS, Texas - - The Midwestern State Women's Basketball Team picked up two key players for the upcoming 2007-2008 basketball season on the first traditional signing day for basketball, adding 5-8 guard Brandy Moore and 5-11 Forward Rosy Ofoegbu, of Temple College in Temple, Texas.

"We are really excited about both players joining our program here at Midwestern" said Mustangs head coach Shannon Burks. "Both are playmakers that will help us. In Brandy, we get a guard that can score both on the drive and from the three point line, while in Rosy, we got a strong inside post that can score and rebound for us. Both were well coached at Temple by Kim Sebek."

Moore, originally from San Antonio Holmes High School, was First Team All-Conference and Conference Newcomer of the Year in the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference. She was fifth in the conference in scoring averaging 15.7 points and was fourth in three point percentage, shooting 37.8 percent from behind the arc.

Ofoegbu, originally from San Antonio Warren High School, was First Team All-Conference in the NTJCAC. She was 15th in the conference in scoring averaging 11.4 points a game and was second in rebounding with 10.6 rebounds per contest.
