NCAA Releases Corrected Regional Rankings

- The National Collegiate Athletic Association this morning released a corrected version of the Division II Men's South Central Regional Rankings for this week.

The change did not affect the Midwestern State University Mustangs, who remain fourth in the poll, but did change Lone Star Conference member

) changed positions in the poll, moving Tarleton from seventh to sixth and
Emporia
from sixth down to seventh.

Tarleton sported a 14-9 (now 14-10) Division II record and ESU a 16-6 Division II mark.

The rankings will be used to determine the teams selected at-large to the NCAA Division II Tournament in the region after the automatic bids are awarded to the tournament champions of the LSC, the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association and the Heartland Conference. The rankings will also be used to seed the tournament bracket.

The tournament announcement is set for 9:30 p.m. on Sunday and may be seen via the internet at www.ncaasports.com/dii.

Midwestern
State
hosts the Lone Star Conference Tournament semifinals and championship Friday and Saturday, with Southeastern Oklahoma meeting West Texas A&M at 6 p.m. Friday, followed by MSU against Central Oklahoma at 8 p.m.

The LSC Championship Game is slated for Saturday at 7 p.m. at
