Mustangs in action at East Central Oak Hills Classic

MSU stood ninth after the first round with an opening round 292, but stood only seven shots out of second.

The Mustangs posted a 286 in the second roundthat was not completed on Monday to stand at 578. Seven players remained on the course when the day was concluded because of darkness. That round will conclude at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, with the final round to follow.

MSU is led by Hunter Linscombe who fired a three-under 141, posting rounds of one-under 71 and two-under 70 on Monday.

Logan Scarlett stood at one-under 143, with a 72-71 for the opening day, with Andrew Ludlow adding a two-over 146, carding rounds of two-over 74 and even-par 72.

Brady Jones posted a 75-73--148, with Eric Thompson adding an 81-80--161 for the Mustangs.

led the team competition after one round with a 280, with West Texas A&M second at 285. Third was shared three ways by St. Edward's,

and St. Mary's each posting a 288.

The first round individual lead was shared by UCO's Mitch Boles and Texas A&M-Commerce's Andy Carter with a 5-under-par 67.
