MSU places sixth at East Central Oak Hills Classic

- Led by Hunter Linscombe's one-under-71 on Tuesday, the Midwestern State University golf team posted a final round 291, the fourth-best team score of the day, to move up to finish sixth at the East Central Oak Hills Classic.

The Mustangs 291 gave the team an 869 final score, to finish just behind fifth place

Northeastern
State

at 868.

Linscombe's final round on the Oak Hills Country Club layout allowed him to finish in a fourth place tie at four-under-par 212. The Mustangs Logan Scarlett just missed a top 10 finish, coming in tied for 11th at even-par 216 after a one-over round of 73 on Tuesday.

MSU's Andrew Ludlow also shot a one-over 73 in the final round to finish at three-over 219, while Brady Jones added a 74 for a 222 and Eric Thompson a 78 for a 239.

Central Oklahoma

took the team title with a team score of eight-under par 856. St. Edward's and Indian Hills CC tied for second with a three-under 861, while St. Mary's was fourth with a one-under 863.

Individually,

St.

Mary's KC Lim put together three consecutive rounds of 69 to finish at nine-under 207, just two strokes ahead of UCO's Mitch Boles at seven-under 209 and three better than Indian Hills' John Danielson at sux-under 210. Linscombe tied St. Ed's Matt Smith, who fired a three-under 69 on Tuesday to finish at four-under 212.

MSU will return to competition on March 26-27, when the Mustangs travel to
