LSC partners with Penn

Atlantic
to air Basketball Championship Tournament games live

RICHARDSON
,
Texas
-- The Lone Star Conference has partnered with Penn Atlantic, Inc., to offer live internet video streaming of this weekend's LSC Basketball Championship Tournament games.

The LSC postseason tournaments started Tuesday with first-round games at on-campus sites, and the action culminates this weekend as four men's teams are headed to Wichita Falls, Texas, and four women's squads will square off in Commerce, Texas.

Webcasts of each remaining tournament game will be available at www.pennatlantic.com on a pay-per-view basis for only $5.50 per game. The links will be activated prior to the start of Friday's games. Each webcast will include both video and audio, with viewers needing only a computer with a high-speed DSL or cable modem connection to the internet.

Veteran broadcaster Chris Needham will call the action for men's tournament games, while Texas A&M-Commerce's Scott Garner has the call for all women's games.

Penn Atlantic is a

South Carolina
based company that provides live video broadcasts of collegiate athletic events over broadband. The games are delivered to household computers by using the Microsoft product Windows Media Player. Penn Atlantic feeds are true television resolution, which allows viewers to connect their computer to a television set and watch video as if it were regular TV programming.

This weekend's broadcasts will see Southeastern Oklahoma and West Texas A&M squaring off in the first men's semifinal at 6 p.m. Friday, to be followed by Central Oklahoma meeting host

Midwestern
State
in the 8 p.m. semifinal. The men's championship game is set for 7 p.m. on Saturday.

The women's broadcasts will get underway with Central Oklahoma against West Texas A&M in Friday's 6 p.m. semifinal, followed by

Angelo
State
challenging host Texas A&M-Commerce in the 8 p.m. semifinal. The women's championship is set for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
