MSU (17-5, 6-2) held an 88-83 lead following a free throw by Chad Rickett with 20 seconds to play.

ASU came down the floor to get a missed one shot, but got a three quick three from Ontario McKee with 8.0 seconds left to make it 88-86.

After a Ram timeout, the MSU inbounds pass from Eric Dawson to Rickett was bobbled, and stolen by ASU's Roger Johnson who dished to Marcus Hubbard.

Hubbard got the layup and was fouled by Rickett to tie the game at 88 with 2.0 seconds left. Hubbard got the free throw.

MSU got the ball upfloor, but a desperation three missed.

The Mustangs got 20 points and eight assists from Rickett, while Drew Coffman also added 20 points including 4-of-6 from the three-point arc.

Dawson
got 18 points with 12 rebounds for his 15th double-double of the year to go with two blocked shots. Chris Davis added 12 for the MSU.

Hubbard led the way for ASU, collecting 32 points with six rebounds, while McKee tallied 19 points with 10 assists. Quinn Barfield added 13 points, while Turner Phipps chalked up 11 for the Rams.

MSU wasted an excellent shooting night, hitting 60.8 percent from the floor (31-of-51) and outrebounding the Rams 36-28. ASU shot 43.8 percent from the field (28-of-64), but nailed 15-of-37 from the arc (40.5 percent).

MSU remains in first in the LSC South and will host

Tarleton
State
on Tuesday for a key league showdown. Tipoff at Ligon Coliseum is at 7 p.m.
